Dr. Laura Darby has been practicing medicine for over 16 years and has hown consulting practice.
Education, Training & Certification
Dr. Darby graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987 with a BS in Zoology, a BA in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry. In 1993, she graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston with an MD degree. Dr. Darby completed her Internal Medicine Residency Program at Presbyterian/St Luke's' Hospital in Denver, CO in 1996.
Dr. Darby also did additional specialty rotations during her residency training in both Dermatology and Surgery. She has also taken numerous courses and has done additional training in Aesthetics/Skin Care/Cosmetic Procedures, Age Management Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Alternative Therapies, Wellness/Prevention/Healthy Lifestyle, Food Sesitvity/Intolerance, Weight Management Medicine, Hair Replacement Procedures and Access Bars.
Dr. Darby received her certification training in Age Management Medicine at Cenegenics Medical Institute in Las Vegas, NV in 2009. Cenegenics is one of the world leaders in Age Management Medicine. She also trained with Dr. Andrew Weil in Integrative Medicine in Tucson, AZ in 1999.
Dr. Darby has also completed certification courses in Western and Chinese Herbal Medicine at Just for Health East/West Herbal Medicine School in Englewood, CO, Miraculous Healing in San Rafael, CA, and Medical Intuitive training through Karen Fox's Psychic Clarity School in Englewood,CO.
In addition, Dr. Darby, plans to take certification courses in Acupuncture/Acupressure, Functional Medicine, Aromatherapy/Essential Oils, Access Consciousness and Pet Communication over the next several years.
Dr. Darby is also a certified Reiki II Practitioner as well an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner.
She is knowledgeable in Essential Oils/Aromatherapy, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, a variety of Energy Work, Nutrition, Supplements, Exercise Physiology, Pain Management and Stress Management/Relaxation.
Dr. Darby is also a semi-professional artist in both photography and monotype printmaking. She has had her artwork featured in several galleries in the Denver area as well as in her office and in her home. Dr. Darby has many interests outside of medicine such as: cooking, entertaining, wine tasting , dining out, dancing, world travel, hiking, biking, skiing, tennis, golf, theater, reading, movies, listening to a wide variety of music, gardening, spending time in nature and with her dogs, friends and family, meditation, yoga, tai chi, metaphysics, herbal arts and crafts, volunteer work, exploring new places and trying new things. She is fluent in Spanish, single, and resides in the Denver area.
